Michael J. Parsons, CPA

Business Biography
Mike is a graduate of Ball State University where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Indiana and Florida. The first six years of his career were spent with Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young) in Indianapolis and Fort Lauderdale. In 1973 he formed the partnership of Bateman & Parsons with Joe Bateman in Riviera Beach. In 1977 he co-founded the accounting firm of Parsons & Darby in North Palm Beach, which continued until 1993 when he became a sole practitioner. Parsons & Benton, LLC was established in 1998, until mid 2003 when he once again became a sole practitioner. On November 1, 2009 Mike completed the merge with Fuoco Group, LLC and moved the office to their new building in North Palm Beach.

Business Associations
Mike's professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Indiana CPA Society, and the Institute of Management Accountants. Mike was the co-founder and Charter Vice-President of the Palm Beach Area Chapter of the National Association of Accountants (Now Institute of Management Accountants). He has served on the Board of Directors, East Coast Chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He is currently on the Board of Directors of Sunset House in Palm Beach Gardens.   He is also a Past President of the Exchange Club of the Northern Palm Beaches and the North Palm Beach/Palm Beach Gardens Jaycees. Mike has served as Campaign Treasurer for many successful political campaigns in Palm Beach County. He also serves on the Finance Committee of his church.

Personal History
Mike is originally from Winchester, Indiana. He and his wife Pam have been married for over 40 years and have two children and three grandchildren. They own, live in and manage a triplex in Juno where for over 20 years their only two tenants were their mothers. For rest and relaxation, Mike and Pam run to their mountain retreat in North Carolina.
